Just before the end of March me and Anne decided to go somewhere different for the weekend so we ended up going to York. A few friends had suggested that it was a nice place and full of history and ghosts. So we jumped in the car and headed up the M1.
Like always, I had to make sure I had my camera with me and plenty of memory cards. We were only there for the Sunday evening so we checked out the train museum in the morning before jumping on a boat ride along the river. There was a really good tour guide on the boat who gave us lots of information about the city. Later that evening we went for a ghost walk (Anne likes ghost stories!) as York is reported to be the most haunted city in the UK. Needless to say we didn't see any ghosts but it was another great way to find out about York's past. The surprise of the walk was the guide telling us to look at some buildings only for the group of us to turn around and see somebody taking a wee against the wall! Much to the astonishment of many in our group!!
Anne ended up being my camera's focus for the day so I thought I would share a few pictures from the weekend.
